Friday marked a major milestone for regional arts in our community with the official opening of the Social SEEN Gallery, and what a spectacular way to launch this new creative space!
The opening night featured the awe-inspiring work of Jim A Barker whose photographic series ‘Artisans of the New England’ captivated the audience. Through his lens, Jim has masterfully captured the spirit, hands, and stories of the talented makers who form the rich cultural fabric of our region. Each image was a celebration of craft, resilience and identity, deeply moving and utterly beautiful.
Adding to the night’s magic was the display of works by the Col Art Glass LED Lighting Classes collective in the Jule Jarner Studio, showcasing the diversity of talent within our local creative scene.
The Social SEEN Gallery is now officially open and ready to serve as a welcoming platform for creatives of all backgrounds, from emerging artists to established professionals. It’s a space where vision is celebrated, stories are shared, and inspiration flows freely.
The evening’s unforgettable moments were beautifully captured by the talented Grace Louise Photography, see the gallery above!
We are so excited for what’s ahead. Keep an eye out for future exhibitions, events and opportunities as the Jule Jarner Studio & Social Co House continue to grow this creative venture!
