ARTS NORTH WEST MICRO GRANTS

Arts North West is offering Quick Response Micro Grants of up to $1,000 for independent professional practising artists across all art forms, community groups and arts organisations to support their creative endeavour. Arts North West Micro Grants are designed to support the continuation of locally determined community arts and cultural practice in uncertain times, this funding aims to be as flexible as possible. Projects do not require a specific outcome but can focus on skills development or capacity-building.


APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must

• Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or provide a Statement by Supplier form from the ATO

• You must be based in the New England North West of NSW (the 11 LGAs that make up the Arts North West service footprint). See https://www.artsnw.com.au/aboutus

• You can be an individual, or an arts-based organisation.

• Your request must be arts related.


ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES

We are aiming to be as flexible as possible and will consider a wide range of requests but can include:

• Workshop delivery or access to training.

• Equipment or materials required to develop and/or deliver an exhibition, workshop or development.

• New ways of marketing or sharing your arts business.

• Paying yourself as an artist for a particular project


This funding will not support:

• Competitions, Awards, Prizes, Judging

• Fundraising events.

• General operating expenses or ongoing costs of long-term continuous projects.

• Projects that have commenced or are completed.

• Activities which could be considered part of the curriculum for schools or tertiary institutions.

• Non-arts related activities.

If you or your organisation will not be eligible to apply for grant funds in this round, if you have outstanding funds or acquittals with Arts North West either through CASP, Microgrants, ANWOT etc


TIME FRAME

  • Round Seven of this Funding Program opens on Thursday 11 September 2025

  • Applications close at 5pm Thursday 23 October 2025

  • Successful recipients will be notified by Monday 28 October, 2025

  • Successful applicants need to return signed funding agreements with an invoice to Arts North West for the amount granted.

  • Projects can begin from 30 October 2025, following completion of agreement.

  • The expenditure needs to be completed by 30 June, 2026

  • You will need to complete a brief acquittal by 28 July, 2026


HOW TO APPLY
The Arts North West Micro Grant application requires the following information

  • Biography/ Organisation Information 100 words - A biography that demonstrates that you are a professional practicing artist or gives a brief history of you organisation

  • Activity Outline (400 words) - A simple overview of how you will use the grant funds

  • Benefits (200 words) - How this project will support your arts practice or your arts community

  • Budget - Simple budget to show the use of grant funds

  • Referee - Name and Email
