ARTS NORTH WEST ON TOUR UNVEILS EXCITING MAKEOVER EMBRACING A NEW FEE-FOR-SERVICE MODEL

June 29, 2023

Arts North West is proud to announce a significant change in the Arts North West ON TOUR program. Formerly operating under a subscription model, Arts North West ON TOUR has undergone a makeover, embracing a fee-for-service approach to increase accessibility and engagement in performing arts across the New England North West. Historically, Arts North West ON TOUR exclusively catered to subscribed venues. However, with the adaption of the new fee-for-service model, the program now opens its doors to all spaces, venues and community halls to host live theatre, music productions and performances in their communities. This exciting change presents opportunities for community groups to book arts performances through Arts North West, no matter the size or location. With this fresh approach, Arts North West ON TOUR endeavours to create a more dynamic and accessible cultural landscape within our communities and regions.

'A Letter To My Returning...' - Giving a Voice to Flood-Affected Regions

June 28, 2023

Arts North West is seeking expressions of interest from ten local artists, hobbyists, creatives and/or historians to create artworks and in part, creative documentation to reflect on the flood events that affected the region in 2021/2022.

Arts North West is also asking for community groups, individuals and organisations in the Gunnedah Shire Council, Narrabri Shire Council, Moree Plains Shire Council, and Tamworth Regional Council areas to write a letter to the flood waters; to express their emotions and document the events of the flood events in their communities.

The letters can be submitted anonymously, under a pseudonym or signed with the participant’s name. The letters received will be included as part of a travelling exhibition and will be provided to the artists to inform their artworks and creative documentation.
Deadline for letters to be recieved: 30 October, 2023
