Arts North West will be presenting an informal arts & cultural public forum in Guyra on the 15 July for community arts & culture representatives. This is a chance to discuss matters relevant to your community & outline how Arts North West may be able to assist & support arts & culture in your town.

Country Arts Support Program now open
CASP is a key regional arts funding program which provides funding to arts and community organisations in regional New South Wales. The aim is to provide access to arts activities for small communities, to encourage communities to work together on cultural projects, to foster cultural diversity in the region and to ensure that regional and rural areas have an artistic voice.. Grants are up to $3,000 and will be given to short term, locally initiated projects starting in 2016.
So start thinking about some great arts projects that you would like to see happen in our region!
In the 2015 round of CASP grants, a diverse range of arts and cultural projects within the Arts North West region received over $19,000 in funding. This included drypoint etchings of birdlife (Gravesend), theatre workshops for primary students (Moree), a creative day for older people at NERAM (Armidale), writing workshops for locative literature (Armidale), an art project and exhibition for people with a disability (Tenterfield) and two Aboriginal traditional craft workshops in carving and weaving (Tamworth).

Denise King, Manager of Regional Arts, Multi-arts and Music from Arts NSW will be visiting our region to answer your questions about the 2015 Arts NSW Arts and Cultural Development program and the 2015 Young Regional Artist Scholarships.
Denise will be in Armidale on 27 May and Tamworth on 28 May and will be available to talk to you in small group Question &Answer sessions.
The Arts and Cultural Development Program is the NSW Government’s major grants program for arts and culture which Arts NSW administers on behalf of the NSW Government.
The NSW Young Regional Artist Scholarships are offered by the State Government to support young artists from regional NSW to undertake a self-directed professional development program or project in their chosen field. Bookings are essential to attend the FREE Q&A sessions and limited to 10 per session, please book by follow the links to the three different sessions available: 1) information sessions for organisations, 2) information sessions for individuals and 3) information session for young regional artist scholarships. These three sessions are available in both Armidale and Tamworth.
