Regional Arts NSW announces 2020-2021 RAF and RAF Recovery Boost Guidelines for NSW

June 23, 2020

Regional Arts NSW is excited to begin the delivery of this year’s Regional Arts Fund (RAF) program, and today announces that the guidelines for 2020 - 2021 are now available for you to review, ahead of applying for funding.

The Regional Arts Fund aims to meet the strategic priorities of: support participation in, and access to arts and culture in regional and remote Australia. It will be done by providing funding that encourages sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities.

This year, The Regional Arts Fund will also deliver The Recovery Boost – an additional and one-off funding amount of $10million as part of the Australian Governments’ Relief and Recovery Fund.

RAF Recovery Boost will be offered in three phases, to provide short (Relief), medium (Recovery) and long-term (Renewal) support to regional artists, arts organisations and communities heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Regional Arts NSW CEO, Elizabeth Rogers said, “Artists, arts workers and organisations across regional NSW have undoubtedly faced a myriad of challenges over the past year; and it is our aim that the delivery and facilitation of the RAF, supported by Regional Arts Australia, will help to bring to life new projects, maintain the existence of organisations and ease some of the strain for the regions, practices and cultures that we value so much.”

Artists applying for the RANSW facilitated Regional Arts Fund and RAF Recovery Boost programs must be based in regional NSW. Each application will then be assessed by a detailed assessment criteria.

All applicants are strongly encouraged to review the Regional Arts Fund 2020 – 2021 Guidance Materials: NSW, for detailed information about each grant type and to find out more about how to apply.
