Join the Arts North West Board – Seeking HR and Legal Expertise!

November 21, 2024

Arts North West, a dynamic organisation supporting arts and cultural development across the New England North West region, is seeking a passionate and skilled individuals to join our volunteer, skills-based board. We are specifically looking for someone with expertise in human resources (HR) and/or legal affairs to contribute to our mission of fostering creativity, community engagement, and cultural growth.

The addition of HR and legal expertise to our board is crucial in ensuring the organisation operates effectively, ethically, and sustainably.

  • HR Expertise:
Strong HR skills are vital for shaping a positive organisational culture, managing policies, and supporting staff wellbeing. A board member with HR expertise would play a key role in advising on recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a workplace that attracts and retains top talent. This expertise also ensures that Arts North West maintains best practices in staff development, training, and dispute resolution.

  • Legal Expertise:
Legal knowledge is equally essential for guiding governance, risk management, and compliance. A board member with a legal background would help ensure Arts North West adheres to laws and regulations, mitigate potential risks, and provide insights into contracts, intellectual property, and other legal matters. This expertise supports the board in making informed decisions that safeguard the organisation's future.

As a board member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Arts North West’s strategic direction, champion the arts in our region, and work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who share a commitment to cultural enrichment.

If you are an HR or legal professional and are passionate about the arts, we would love to hear from you! Together, we can ensure Arts North West continues to thrive and serve our vibrant creative community.
