From the Highlands to the Plains: Arts North West Opens New Tamworth Office and Digital Home
Arts North West will officially open its new Tamworth office and launch a redesigned website on Thursday, 30 July 2026, giving the organisation a second physical base (alongside Glen Innes) and a new digital gateway for artists and communities across the New England North West. The milestone will be marked with a free Community Open Day from 1pm at the new office (The Annex, 3 Darling Street, Tamworth).

An old council building reborn: inside Glen Innes’ new School of Arts & Music
Glen Innes' new School of Arts & Music opened to the public on Saturday 20 June with a free community day, launching a two-year council pilot that will see the historic former Severn Shire Council Building hired out as a creative hub for $10 an hour. The day featured music, dance, drawing and craft workshops led by local artists and tutors, an official opening with Mayor Margot Davis and pianist Keiko Robertson, and drew visitors from across the region including Tamworth, Tenterfield and Inverell.
