Health Infrastructure acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We respectfully acknowledge the Gomeroi, Kamilaroi, Gamilaroi People as the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which the Moree Hospital is built. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

The Moree Hospital Redevelopment arts program seeks to create a unique identity within the new hospital and a welcoming space for patients, staff and the community.

There are a number of opportunities for artists and community members to get involved in the arts program.

The Gamilaraay language project has been developed with the support of local community and includes translations for the new hospital's signage and wayfinding. View the translations here.

We are seeking interest from artists and creative organisations, with a connection to Moree. Submissions will be considered based on examples of previous work and the suitability of the creative practice for the health care environment.

Multiple opportunities are available:

  1. Welcome artwork - an opportunity for a local Aboriginal Artist to have their work integrated into the facade of the new hospital.

  2. Art in clinical areas - an artist/s will be selected to create artworks that will be installed as large-scale envirographics throughout the new hospital.

Please read the terms and conditions before submitting an expression of interest.
