The maquettes were created as proposals for the Walcha Roundabout Sculpture Competition.

One of 3 maquettes entered, in a competition to create proposals for a sculpture on the Walcha roundabout.

THE ARTIST:

Born in Sydney in 1958, Nigel White is a Postwar & Contemporary artist who was awarded a Diploma of Visual Arts from the Sydney College of Arts. Known as a sculptor and printmaker, he has exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne in solo and group from 1982. Works by Nigel White are held by the National Gallery of Australia and Art Gallery of NSW.
