Yuga-Li Gathering Festival 2026

Set amongst the rolling landscapes of Wallabadah on Gomeroi Country, the Yuga-Li Gathering Festival 2026 was a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, community and connection. Bringing together artists, makers, musicians and cultural practitioners from across the region and beyond, Yuga-Li provided visitors with an immersive weekend of art, music, storytelling, workshops and cultural exchange in a unique rural setting.

The 2026 festival proudly showcased an exceptional lineup of artists and cultural practitioners including Jack Conlan, Pauline Sampson, Narelle Nelson, Tania Hartigan, Jodie Herden, Kerri Anne Taggart, Krystle Lamb, and Waabii Chapman-Burgess, whose works spanned contemporary Aboriginal art, weaving, painting, textiles, mixed media and cultural practice. Through exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops and artist engagement opportunities, visitors were invited to learn directly from the artists while exploring the rich diversity of creative expression found throughout the region.

Adding to the festival atmosphere, internationally acclaimed didgeridoo musician Mark Atkins and celebrated country music performer Buddy Knox delivered outstanding live performances, creating memorable experiences that brought people together through the power of music and storytelling.

Alongside the artistic program, festival-goers enjoyed artisan market stalls, cultural activities, hands-on workshops, local food and opportunities to connect with artists, makers and community members. The festival celebrated the sharing of knowledge, creativity and culture while supporting regional artists and strengthening connections between communities.

More than a festival, Yuga-Li was a gathering place—a space where culture was celebrated, stories were shared, creativity flourished and community came together. Whether participating in a workshop, discovering local art, enjoying live music or simply soaking in the atmosphere, visitors experienced the warmth, diversity and creativity that made the Yuga-Li Gathering Festival a truly unique regional event.
