Quandamooka Festival 2026

This opportunity came about through Arts North West's growing relations with the nation-wide cultural market network thanks to QUAMPI Arts & Culture Centre, following the ANW's supported stall at the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair. Arts North West has shared this opportunity with past First Stories stallholders and community members, and provided equipment and support other community members wanting to secure a stall.

ANW will be present through support and representatives on the day. The three stalls are individually branded as Marayn Menswear, The Art Shack @ Wilgabah, and Marumai Yurrun, with ANW flyers and signage on hand and representatives talking to visitors about the organisation.

Having First Stories artists participate in events like Quandamooka Festival, DAAF, and NIAF is crucial for sharing culture with other regions and new audiences. It reflects ANW's core values of cultural exchange and knowledge sharing between artists and communities, helping keep culture and creative practice active, connected, and shared rather than isolated within individual regions.
