Armidale Keeping Place (ACCKP), Theresa Chapman, Robbie Hartigan of Marayn Menswear, Michael Long of Yulay Blends, Bonnie Patterson of Maruma-Li Yurrun, and Jeremy Munro were on the day, welcoming the Armidale community to browse, buy and connect.
Jeremy Munro painted live throughout the event, drawing visitors in to watch a work come together in real time. He also led the chalk walk on the mall, creating a trail of street art woven through the market that brought people from one end of the space to the other.
The event ran into the evening as more crowds moved through the streets, and there was a warm,m festival feel as the sun went down.
Gather & Trade is an initiative of Arts North West, presented through the First Stories: Moving Forward Together Program and supported through the Australian Government’s Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support Program. It is designed to connect First Nations artists and makers with audiences and markets, and to support them with resources to get their work out into the world.
Photos from the day were taken by Dzintra Menesis, Arts North West Engagement Officer.
