Fiesta La Peel 2026

Fiesta La Peel – Gomeroi Creative Activities with Jodie Herden

Arts North West will bring a hands-on celebration of Gomeroi creativity to Fiesta La Peel on Saturday 17 October 2026 at Bicentennial Park, Tamworth. The annual multicultural festival brings communities together to celebrate the region’s cultural diversity through food, music, dance and shared experiences.

As part of the celebrations, Gomeroi artist Jodie Herden will lead children’s colouring-in activities featuring original Gomeroi designs she has created. Children will have the opportunity to meet Jodie, explore her artwork and add their own colours to her designs in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

The activity places local First Nations creativity at the heart of the festival, offering children and families an opportunity to connect with Gomeroi art through creative participation. Arts North West’s involvement supports local artists, encourages cultural appreciation and brings people together through the joy of making.
