Boggabri Public School Mural Project (2024–2026)

Created by regional artists Jordan Lucky, James O'Hanlon and Jack Conlan, the Boggabri Public School mural project is a vibrant celebration of the natural world, local culture, and the creative spirit of the school community.

Inspired by the rich flora and fauna of the Boggabri district, the artworks combine bold colours, intricate forms, and imaginative elements that encourage students to observe, explore, and dream. The murals invite young learners to connect more deeply with their environment while highlighting the power of creativity as a tool for curiosity, learning, and self-expression.

This project proudly delivered a suite of six** large-scale artworks** transforming the school grounds into a vibrant outdoor gallery. Together, these works enrich everyday learning spaces, foster a sense of pride and belonging, and strengthen connections between students, staff, and the wider community.

The artworks created by Jack Conlan were complemented by a series of children's cultural workshops and cultural dance performances delivered by the Winanga-li Dance Mob. These activities provided students with meaningful opportunities to engage with Aboriginal culture, deepen their understanding of Country, and connect with local cultural knowledge through creative and participatory experiences.

This final mural brings the project full circle, celebrating local stories, artistic collaboration, cultural connection, and the unique beauty of the Boggabri region.
