Delivery Partner: Services for Writers

Key Information
Writing Australia, part of Creative Australia's Delivery Partner investment stream, is seeking proposals from Australian literature organisations to provide national services for emerging and established writers. The successful delivery partner will help uplift the profile of Australian writers, provide pathways for writers to present and develop their work, and strengthen the writing sector through advocacy and community building.
Service delivery may include time-to-write initiatives such as residencies and fellowships, public and sector engagement activities such as forums and conferences, practical resources and skills development, and activities supporting regional and remote writers and writers with disability. Fee-for-service activities such as writing courses and manuscript assessments aren't funded, nor are activities aimed primarily at aspiring writers.
Grant Details
Only organisations may apply. Applicants must be registered under Australian law, such as an incorporated association or company limited by guarantee. Trusts and trustee companies aren't eligible, and individuals or groups can't apply. Organisations with an overdue grant report or outstanding debt to Creative Australia are also ineligible.
Proposals need a business plan covering the full two-year investment period, up to three URLs demonstrating relevant organisational activity, and the last two years of audited accounts. Proposals are assessed against quality, viability and alignment with Creative Australia's Corporate Plan 2026–2030.
