Key Information
The First Nations Cultural Tourism Creativity Fund supports a strong, sustainable, First Nations-led cultural tourism sector in NSW. It helps First Nations artists, creatives, cultural practitioners, organisations and businesses develop, showcase and deliver culturally strong experiences for visitors.
Create NSW aims to allocate 50% of the program budget to applicants from regional NSW.
Tier 1, Develop ($20,000 to $50,000, excl. GST) For early-stage projects, including concept and product development, business and capability building, market testing, pilot visitor experiences, partnership development, and feasibility and planning.
Tier 2, Grow ($50,001 to $100,000, excl. GST) For established or successfully tested experiences ready to expand, launch or scale.
Tier 1 projects don’t need to be tourism-ready when you apply, but must show a clear pathway towards it. All projects must be First Nations-led and respect cultural authority, protocols and community relationships. Tourism readiness does not require cultural knowledge or stories to be made public or commercialised.
Projects should start by 1 April 2027 and finish by 30 June 2028. Applicants must contribute at least 5% of the project cost in cash or in-kind support.
