Moonbi Museum Mural

The Moonbi community were delighted by the installation of a beautiful public art wall mural featuring a painting in a frame of two horses carrying a mail/passenger coach on the front wall of the Moonbi Museum building facing the New England Highway during mid October 2022.

The project was initiated by the Moonbi Museum S355 Committee with the image chosen from a photograph currently located in the Moonbi Post Office taken around the 1850s of the mail delivery coach awaiting departure from the Moonbi Post Office ready to head north up and over the range. Local artist Pen Shephard was engaged to create this image in large scale and has worked for over two years to complete the work

The mural is located at the entrance to the Moonbi Museum.
