Dorothea Mackellar Silo Art

Commissioned by the Dorothea Mackellar Memorial Society, renowned silo artist Heesco painted a 30m portrait of the well-known

artist on the Maize Mill in Barber Street.

A sunburnt country landscape and the second verse of her famous poem “My Country” written in Dorothea’s handwriting complete this stunning homage to one of Australia’s favorite poets.
