"BRIAN YOUNG OAM
'The Voice of the Outback'

He had a professional career as a bull rider, winning the
world titles from 1954-1959 before becoming a
singer-songwriter. He recorded Black Man Jacky Jacky with
W&G, follwoed by Walk Away/Kidman The Cattle King for
EMI. Young Country was his first Opal Records recording.
In 1977 he began the worlds longest air charter, taking his
troupe of musicians to outback Australia for the next 10
years. Among his many accolades is a Golden Guitar, he was
elevated to the Roll of Renown in 1999.
