Penne Fraser
Creative Practice
About
Penne Fraser is an emerging textile artist based in regional New South Wales. Her practice explores the intersection of storytelling, memory, and materiality, blending traditional and contemporary textile techniques to create evocative narrative works. Drawing on themes of nostalgia and personal history, Penne’s art serves as an act of radical hope - honouring the past while reimagining the future. She transforms everyday objects into expressive materials, deepening her connection to the environment and inviting audiences to engage with textiles as vessels of meaning and transformation.
Penne is an experienced events and project manager specialising in arts facilitation, community engagement, event management and grant writing and has worked as a freelance creative consultant since 2022.
