Jason Archer

Jason Archer is a filmmaker, writer and creative producer based in Tamworth, NSW. He has worked across television, advertising and commercial production for more than 20 years, producing and directing work for regional and national audiences.

He is the founder of Attitude Productions, working across film, video, writing and creative content for businesses and organisations. He also develops projects through his independent production work, with a number of original film projects currently in development.

His interests as a filmmaker include storytelling, contemporary culture, regional Australia and the spaces where commercial, documentary and fictional storytelling intersect.

My creative practice is centred on film, storytelling and the way moving images can explore people, places and ideas.

I have worked across television, advertising and commercial filmmaking for more than 20 years, and run Attitude Productions, a creative production business based in Tamworth. Alongside commercial work, I have continued to develop my own independent film projects, with a number of films currently in development.

My work is interested in contemporary life, regional Australia, human behaviour and the space between reality and fiction. I am particularly interested in filmmaking that takes its time, creates a sense of place and allows the audience to look more closely rather than simply consume an image.

My commercial experience in film, writing and storytelling informs my independent work, while my independent filmmaking continues to influence how I approach commercial and commissioned projects.
