About
Irene Lemon is a dynamic country music comedian and community-based theatre maker who has spent over two decades building creative communities across regional Australia. With her Bachelor of Theatre Studies from the University of New England and training from the Regional Institute of Performing Arts (RIPA), Irene brings both artistic excellence and deep community connection to her creative practice.
As a performing artist, Irene combines her love of country music with sharp comedic timing, creating performances that resonate with regional audiences while celebrating the unique character of rural Australian life. Her work as a community-based theatre maker extends beyond the stage, focusing on developing local talent and creating meaningful theatrical experiences that strengthen community bonds.

Course Designer and Facilitator Eudaimonia theatre skills, actors training, mask skills development and performances for 7 to 12 year olds - funded by the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) administered by Regional Arts NSW. Trained 153 young people performing in 8 communities in 6 weeks.
Actor - Stories From the Storm - (David Brown and Incert Theatre) verbatim theatre arising from the Newcastle floods, toured regionally in the Hunter and Illawarra to sold out capacity in every venue
Design and production of community business plans (Social Economic Environmental Development - SEED plans) for Regional Development Australia Northern Inland (RDANI), NSW for 17 communities in Northern NSW
