Artist Statement
Glenn Cooper is a mixed media collage artist who is drawn to the incomplete, the fragmentary and the discarded. He likes to give new life to forgotten objects.
His collages are composed of vintage materials such as antique books, letters, receipts, magazines, newspapers, mesh, postage stamps, cigarette cards and corrugated cardboard. Many of his collages are augmented with charcoal graphite and acrylic paint. He likes to find worth in what has been deemed worthless.
