My upbringing, Romany Gypsy/English parents, a teenage migrant, and a young adult choosing the alternate life style of my father's ancestries, best describes my artistic life.

The feeling of coming from a 'subculture within society', always the feeling of being on the fringe, constantly shows in the eccentric nature of my work.

From a very young age I have been motivated by the need to create. I am inspired how I can express myself through art. I create to soothe my soul, to bring joy into other people's lives, and send my children out into the world.

Discovering the medium of clay for the first time was like a duck discovering water. I've been working with this medium for over 20 years and I am still discovering new ways of expressing myself with the beautiful tactile medium. I love moulding clay into teapots, my English up bring, no doubt, bringing this art form of beauty and practicality to the community.

For years with drawing and design, I could actually transfer my creative expression into 3D, putting the images on surfaces that people could use their everyday lives. I am always the student and the Clay is my master.

I am a potter, who is an active member of the Glen Innes Pottery Club. I run classes in the most aspects of clay e.g. wheel.
