Gather and Trade is coming to Narrabright in 2024!

 

Gather and Trade AT NARRABRI

After the ongoing success of our ‘Gather & Trade’ markets throughout the region, Arts North West is excited to announce that we are collaborating with Narrabri Shire Council to bring ANW’s ‘Gather & Trade - Aboriginal Artisans Micro Markets ’ to Narra-BRIGHT in 2024!

We are so pleased to announce that artists, Tania Hartigan and Pauline Sampson will be heading to NarraBRIGHT to share their arts practice and

Tania Hartigan is a woman of the land with great knowledge of bush foods and owner of ‘The Artshack’ at Wallabadah, a paradise with deep history in its soils. Tania loves working across the board with a variety of mediums, painting is her go to and getting lost in the tones and hues. She also has a talented hand for portraits, print making and weaving.

Pauline Sampson is a Gomeroi woman from Breeza who creates Aboriginal art. She is known hand decorated Aboriginal dolls and her designs are painted on various homewares.

On Friday 15 March, 2024 from 6.00pm, Narrabri’s CBD will come to life for Council’s annual CBD street party, Narra-BRIGHT.

NarraBRIGHT is the annual illuminated street party of the Narrabri Shire. This is a huge event for the region, with over 5000 visitors come to be part of the CBD activities that celebrate the vibrant community, CBD and businesses of Narrabri.

NarraBRIGHT is a night time event with the stall sites on Maitland Street opening from 3.00 pm with the event starting at 6.00 pm.
