Hidden Treasures: Capturing an Object

What is your favourite object in your museum?  Is there something that is a little quirky?  Something with an interesting story?

ABC Open in partnership with Arts North West is offering a special one day workshop to capture the story behind a special object in your collection.

This full day workshop will cover scriptwriting, creating a voiceover, photography and lighting, and editing.  You will be able to acquire skills to take back to your museum and which can develop the online presence of your collections.

Museums are invited to submit an EOI to be considered for inclusion in this project.   You can nominate up to two objects for consideration.  Your object will then have its own audio slideshow – which will be uploaded to ABC Open.

Places are limited to a maximum of 4 museums on each day. The workshop will be run twice – in Armidale, and then repeated in Tamworth. Each museum can bring up to 2 people to take part in the workshop.

Applications will be assessed by Arts North West so that a range of objects can be included.
