Putting The Pieces Together is a community art project that has involved 80 artists from the New England North West region that identify with and without disability.
Over a period of 6 months, activities and workshops took place that provided a real opportunity for the existing arts and cultural sector to further integrate with the flourishing arts and disability sector in our region.
Each artist has created their individual work, either at home, in workshops at Moree Plains Gallery, New England Regional Art Museum and Tamworth Regional Gallery or at the Festival of Abilities in Tamworth. Art materials accompanied the large puzzle piece canvases for the artists to explore and develop their own unique artistic expression.
This installation proudly represents the diverse arts and cultural sector in the New England North West and celebrates our region working together to build a stronger, more inclusive and accessible arts and cultural landscape.
This Program Putting The Pieces Together is supported by devolved funding administered by Accessible Arts (AARTS) on behalf of the Lifetime Care and Support Authority (LTCSA).
