Basil Hall printmaking workshop

Join master-printer Basil Hall for a two day advanced printmaking workshop in Armidale.
- On the first day participants will work en plein air directly onto prepared plates using hard ground, soft ground and sugarlift techniques; etching plates and proofs.
- On the second day they will further develop plates and line work using aquatint or colour plates.
The workshop will include an emphasis on drawing on the spot, observing colours and making a monoprint plate to be further developed in the studio.
Basil Hall studied at Canberra School of Art under master-printmaker the late Jorg Schmeisser before becoming Director and Editioning Manager at Studio One National Print Workshop in Canberra (1987-1996). He was also worked as the Manager of Northern Editions in Darwin and for the past 11 years has run Basil Hall Editions (in Darwin and now Braidwood, NSW).
