The exhibition entitled Bulaar Yinnaa’s Gimabi-li, meaning Two Women to Make. This exhibition is by sisters Avril Chapman and Adele Chapman-Burgess who have creatively produced organic art. The sisters live in Glen Innes and are descendants of the Ngarrabul and Goomeroi nations.Avril enjoys drawing, sewing, cooking and collecting all manner of organic things such as rocks, flowers, feathers and drift wood. She often collects and takes them home and turns them into art. In this exhibition, Avril has collaborated with her sister Adele who has used modern materials such as cheeseboards by painting ancient customs and art forms to produce contemporary works of art.
