Join us for the exhibition opening and talk by Roslyn Russell, art historian, editor, curator and co-author of Significance 2.0: a guide to assessing the significance of collections. Also, help us celebrate the launch of the gallery's new website www.tamworthregionalgallery.com.au which provides for the first time on-line access to the gallery's significant collection through searchable database, opportunities to pay for workshops and programs on-line and so much more!
This exhibition highlights important works from Tamworth Regional Gallery’s Collection, treasures that capture the essence of textile art, and include iconic pieces from a collection that is almost 100 years old. Words on display include iconic collection artworks from all periods, mediums and styles, including landscapes by Hans Heysen, Sydney Long, Elioth Gruner, Wil Ashton and Elisabeth Cummings. All welcome to attend the opening of this exciting exhibition.
